THE PROJECT
MAJORETTE MEG: EASTLEIGH ARTIST IN RESIDENCE
Commissioned by Eastleigh Borough Council.
Inspired by local heritage to take on the role of Majorette Meg, Megan created & hosted a series of events inspired by PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE themes, connecting PLAY with PLAYce. Supported by Creative Producer Ronnie Houselander-Cook, Meg’s activities included :

A customised helter skelter in the town centre, asking residents to slide into the PAST with Majorette Meg & share memories.

A crafty workshop of wing making to celebrate all that’s flying in the borough in PRESENT day.

An ice cream van exchange asking residents what they scream for in the FUTURE.

A podcast of Meg’s Eastleigh findings was recorded with audio artist Rowan Bishop.
