In 2013, Megan was invited by Arnolfini, Bristol UK to be part of 34 Bristols, and was paired with Bristol Texas. Working with friend and artist Nicholas Don, Meg connected with residents of the small town known for their hot summers, lavender and unique bees. This was in the years before “zoom” was a thing. Meg hosted a video link tea party between the two Bristol’s. A box of goods from Bristol Texas were opened and shared with gallery guests (iced tea & bubblegum) and the fire station in Bristol Texas opened and enjoyed English Breakfast tea and biscuits. We discussed the weather in both places and shared anecdotes of daily life inside our Bristol’s. 

As the video link came to a close & the sky outside went dark, the gallery audience were invited to look through binoculars & out of the gallery windows to see the bright neon lights of Dallas shining in the distance.
